    @ttiiyy You really …
    @ttiiyy You really don’t know why Mr Obama chose SPANISH? haha … where do you live? in a country where 15% of the population es LATINA and speak Spanish.. What are you gonna try to learn? Portuguese?

  2. ubuntuforever Says:

    That is well said. …
    That is well said. When I was young, I could barely speak English. Back then, I did not realize how important it was to know another language than French, because where I was raised, almost everybody spoke French. It is now considered an asset, here in Canada, to be bilingual. I am very thankful today that we were taught English at school.

  3. Goikuchan Says:

    Most countries take …
    Most countries take the time to learn other languages besides English to adapt, as a restriction! America should be no exception. To me it’s a matter of respect. You’re not alone on the world and the USA is not the center of the universe like some people think.

  4. Goikuchan Says:

    Well said Obama

    Well said Obama

    Most people realy don’t get here do they? It’s not about having to talk foreign to immigrants. Immigrants or tourists going to the USA should learn English. That’s expected. But foreigners will expect the same from Americans in return to speak their language if they go to their country. For instance… You’re going on holiday to Greece. (just a random choice) But barely anybody there speaks English. What will you do then?

  5. ttiiyy Says:

    @Rogentx

    I …
    @Rogentx

    I think American children should learn a foreign language because many
    children around the world are learning English.

    We don’t have any excuses. However, I don’t understand why Obama chose Spanish.

    Almost every Spanish-speaking country in the world is poor.

  6. ttiiyy Says:

    It’s really funny …
    It’s really funny how some people try to make Spanish sound like an important language. Americans are not the only ones that look down upon the Spanish speaking world.

    The French, the English, and the German media all often report how WEAK the Spanish economy is.

    I have also met European immigrants myself. Unlike you, I have never met anyone that thinks highly of the Spanish culture.

  7. ttiiyy Says:

    @papasitoman I …
    @papasitoman I often use it to speak with people who do not speak English well such as the French, people from Brazil, Portugal, and even immigrants from the middle east and Korea whose English needs work.

    —> LOL how many people from the middle east and Korea speak Spanish?
    I have been to Asia many times, and I don’t think many Koreans speak Spanish.

    Don’t be ridiculous. I agree that American children should learn foreign languages, but I don’t understand why Obama chose English.

  8. ttiiyy Says:

    @yosyesyo
    So what …

    @yosyesyo
    So what????? Chinese and Indians are everywhere around the world.

    The number of Chinese speakers and Indian speakers outnumber
    Spanish speakers.

    Obama should have taken that into consideration as well.

  9. JavixoCH Says:

    @Rogentx I DO NOT …
    @Rogentx I DO NOT CARE WHAT YOU DO WITH YOUR LIFE.. I DO NOT CARE IF YOU HATE LATINOS OR IF YOU ARE RACIST … i just wanted to say what i think =)

  10. JavixoCH Says:

    @Rogentx We know …
    @Rogentx We know this is USA. but it’s not about if this is american or mexico or china or whatever.. you should know that if you speak more than one language, you will have more opportunities to get better jobs.. and you like it or not… 15% of the population in the USA is LATINA!!! and they speak Spanish.. so your boss will prefer a bilingual person to work in his business, cuz that person will be able to communicate with most of the population …

  11. Rogentx Says:

    I refuse to learn …
    I refuse to learn Spanish or have my son learn it because this is USA, not Mexico. (Not racist, no) Think Obama is trying to get some brownie points for the next election in ’12….

  12. rumzi98 Says:

    @amicusnemini Kiss …
    @amicusnemini Kiss my fat you skinny, malnutritioned, third world country fuck! America throws away 200 million tons of food every year. Why don’t you dig in our trash for it. …..But what about all the starving people in Africa? them… and you. If you hate America, then why the do you live here. Get the out, and go back to wherever the you came from. IDIOTS

  13. dontferg Says:

    So all hispanic …
    So all hispanic people should learn english so when tourists or jailed illegals from the USA are there they can communicate with them. And every country should learn every language on the planet so we are all p.c. I can tell from these comments all the immigrants here really want to be Americans,yeah right. How about borders,culture,language? Savage Nation rules!

  14. dontferg Says:

    @dogsarebetter …
    @dogsarebetter Americans?…you say that as though you aren’t one.

  15. amicusnemini Says:

    im not going to sit …
    im not going to sit here and debate the benefits of learning another language all im saying is that americans are fat and should lose some weight tbh ffs

  16. athlete9393 Says:

    @tenjacks98 The …
    @tenjacks98 The others I can’t speak much for because I don’t know much about them. Lastly, how do you know that Roosevelt knew that Japanese was going to attack us. That was a theory. Either way, you are now forcing things. Without the U.S., this World is a hole because the majority of other nations couldn’t survive without us.

  17. athlete9393 Says:

    @tenjacks98 First- …
    @tenjacks98 First- I never said Iraqis attacked us. Terrorists attacked us who were in the middle east. Secondly- Everything you said up there was a result of the U.S. getting attacked first. Third- Afghanistan fits in my first point so cross them off the list. Panama was the result of corruption. We saved them from falling apart, built the Canal, and gave it to them years later. Laos, Cambodia were apart of WWII and Japanese imperialism. Vietnam I already said it was a police force.

  18. tenjacks98 Says:

    @athlete9393 …
    @athlete9393 Granada, Panama, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Somalia – all wars and acts of aggression started by the US. The US has been in conflict with other nations for almost all of its existence. The US needs wars as without them the United States would implode. The wars have made it virtually bankrupt – both financially and morally. So, who is being stupid?

  19. tenjacks98 Says:

    @athlete9393 WWI – …
    @athlete9393 WWI – the dumbass US was suckered into the war by the Brits who did not warn the Lusitania that the Germans had been destroying ships in her vicinity. WWII – Roosevelt suckered the US into this war to help the Brits by not warning the US Fleet in Hawaii that the Japs were going to bomb it. Roosevelt had prior knowledge of the attack. No Iraqis were involved in the Twin Tower attacks. Those involved were Saudi Arabians and Egyptians.

  20. athlete9393 Says:

    @tenjacks98 …
    @tenjacks98 Purveyors of violence, that’s funny because the majority of our wars were started by another country. -WWI- Germany bombs the Lusitania -WWII- Japan bombs Pearl Harbor -Iraqi Freedom- Terrorists from middle attack the twin towers. With the exception of Vietnam and Korea, all of our wars were either mutual or started by another country. Vietnam and Korea is the result of leaders in their country killing innocent people. STFU- you are stupid.

  21. athlete9393 Says:

    @tenjacks98 Because …
    @tenjacks98 Because you guys rely on us for everything you idiot. Without us you guys, wherever you are from, are a piece of horseshit with nothing. STFU! As for WWII! The Russians relied on our leadership to get the job done, Russia and England had nothing without us.

  22. tenjacks98 Says:

    @athlete9393 They’ …
    @athlete9393 They’ fell apart’ because the US created the Great Depression as they have created the present depression. As for winning WWII, without the Russians defeating the Nazi invaders we would all be doing the goose step now. In an irony of fate, the US is now taking on the features of a Nazi state.

  23. tenjacks98 Says:

    @athlete9393 A …
    @athlete9393 A typical comment from a member of one of the ‘greatest purveyors of violence in the world’.

  24. lordazhron Says:

    @tenjacks98 dident …
    @tenjacks98 dident we “Buy” the land? no doubt there was a war.

  25. athlete9393 Says:

    @LunaLoca785 Are …
    @LunaLoca785 Are you stupid. I wish I was Mexican so I can have everybody learn my language, get tax dollars in the mail every month to pay for all my shit, and the blame everything on racism when people attack me. What a life. I would never lose.

  44. Ronald Dalfonso Says:

    You’re talking about actions. If the ACTIONS taken at the mosque violate the law, they should be punished. At this point, “conservatives” want the government to restrict speech. That’s wrong, and it will backfire.

  45. Lula Bramble Says:

    I propose that the house next door to Sarah Palin occupied by author Joe McGinnis be torn down so we can re-locate the mosque to Wasilla. It can’t be any worse than the all male ex-convicts who lived there for 4 years and she never complained about that.
