I want to teach my 2 year old Spanish as I understand that children this young absorb "foreign" languages readily. I have only schoolboy Spanish, and wanted to learn together. Does anyone have ideas, especially online resources?
go to www.spanish.com this website will be useful and user friendly. Also you can buy "instant Immersion Spanish v2.0" this will help too

If you have iTunes, they have some cool podcast there where they teach you step by step.

Have them watch Univisión or Telemundo (TV channels). There is children’s programming on those channels and others in the morning. Get a Spanish-speaking housekeeper or babysitter and have him/her speak only Spanish to your kid.

Why don’t you ask a tutor to help him.
PS: By the way, I know Spanish. ; )
¡Buena suerte!

Amazon.co.uk or .com do a good range of books and CD’s My son is two and a half and I’m teaching him English & Spanish. The dictionary books are especially helpful at first. I also got some Berlitz childens books from local book shop – stories in both languages

Your baby is 2-so fun and colors are the key! One to try: tune into Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go! on either Nick Jr. or Noggin(check local T.V. listings for times, there’s also a dvd series)….My 4 year old has been watching both of these programs since she was 2 and she actually has a good understanding(speaking and comprehension) of basic spanish. It’s amazing! Don’t be afraid to watch it with your child because you will definitely learn some new words too and you can reinforce these words when you’re not watching TV.
Also, pick up a English-Spanish dictionary, and when your toddler learns new English words-find the word in Spanish and teach them that too. Trust me-I know these seem like small steps-but he/she is absorbing every word! Hope that helps!
